Text messages, and how you agree to them

EL ROAD is a field marketing company. We book in-store product sampling demonstrations and staff them with brand ambassadors, who we call Roadies. This page sets out exactly how a person consents to receive text messages from us, what those messages say, and how to stop them. It is public so that anyone — including carriers and message reviewers — can see the consent flow without an account.

Who receives messages from us

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, we do not text people who have not signed up with us, and we never buy, sell, rent or share phone numbers with anyone for their own messaging. Consent is never transferred to a third party.

Where the opt-in happens

1 · Brand ambassador application — elroadmarketing.com/roadie

A person applies to work with us at elroadmarketing.com/roadie. They enter their name, email and mobile number, and tick a consent box that is empty by default. Nothing is pre-selected and the form cannot be submitted without a deliberate tick.

2 · Onboarding, after approval

Once approved, the same person completes their file inside our portal at elroadmarketing.com/platform. The consent box appears there again, in the same unticked form, so they can confirm or withdraw at any point. The portal is private because it holds personal employment records — the consent wording and checkbox shown there are reproduced exactly below.

3 · Client contacts

A client contact ticks the same style of box in their own portal to receive text updates about their demonstrations. It is optional for clients and off by default.

The exact consent box, as it appears

This is a copy of the live form for review. It is not connected — ticking it here does nothing and submits nothing.

Your details

I agree to receive text messages from EL ROAD about scheduling and the demonstrations I work — shift offers, confirmations, reminders, and messages while a demonstration is running. Message frequency varies by how many demonstrations I accept, typically 2–10 messages a week. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See EL ROAD's Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions.

Optional, and in addition to texts rather than instead of them. Some people like a written copy of their schedule as well.

Submit application

Both boxes start empty. Nothing is sent until the box above is ticked and the form submitted.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message and the texts end immediately. Reply HELP for help, or contact us on the details below. Consent can also be withdrawn at any time in the portal by unticking the box, or by emailing us. We always honour a STOP straight away, without question.

Being reachable while a demonstration is running is part of the brand ambassador role — a store or a client can raise something that needs an answer within minutes. So if someone withdraws consent we stop texting immediately, and separately we talk to them about whether the role still works for them. Withdrawing consent is always honoured; it is never ignored, delayed, or answered with more messages.

Message frequency and cost

Frequency varies with how many demonstrations a person accepts, and is typically between 2 and 10 messages a week. Message and data rates may apply, depending on the recipient's own mobile plan. EL ROAD does not charge for messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
